Explore San Diego area's mountainous terrain

Spend 1-4 nights in the Cleveland National Forest, located near San Diego, traveling to and exploring remote backcountry sites and mountains.

Each day and night's activities will be tailored to your desires, whether they be hiking, photography, rock hounding birdwatching or exploring the terrain by vehicle. San Diego offers a diverse outdoor environment, from low desert to pine-covered mountains - all waiting to be discovered by you. The Cleveland National Forest is filled with dramatic scenery, wildlife and interesting plant life. The Cleveland National Forest is the southernmost National Forest in California. Consisting of 460,000 acres, the forest offers a wide variety of terrains and recreational opportunities.

Your tour guide will have more than 20 years of local backcountry camping experience. There will be one tour guide provided for every four guests.

There is a 4 person minimum, 10 person maximum for this tour to operate.

There is a $5.94 CAD processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order. There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown includes any and all taxes, fuel surcharges, and service fees. There are no additional charges, unless otherwise specified.

Cancellation Policy

There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy

If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

Camping Tour at Cleveland National Forest from San Diego Description

Tour includes complete transportation, meal options, complete camp set-up and tear-down, and all equipment needed for activities, including telescopes! All you have to do is bring your toiletries. Everything else is provided.

Prior to your trip, you will receive, via email, a checklist of items to bring, suggested reading material about the areas we will explore, and an itinerary of the day's planned activities.
