There is a $5.86 AUD processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order. There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown includes any and all taxes, fuel surcharges, and service fees. There are no additional charges, unless otherwise specified.

There are no refunds. All sales are final.

If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

CRUISE ROUTE OPTIONS

You and your guest(s) will have the opportunity to choose one of the following cruise routes:

Option 1: Cruise past the famous Scripps Research Institute out to the Bait Docks. The Bait Docks are two long floating docks that provide commercial and private fishing boats with live bait - sardines and anchovies - and is a smorgasbord for Sea Lions looking for a tasty treat. It's also a fun play area or a place to lounge after a long day of fishing. The Sea Lions share this floating playground with other wildlife, including California Brown Pelicans and White and Gray Egrets. It is always fun when the boat happens to come across dolphins playing and chasing bait for a quick nibble. The Bait Dock is a great place for pictures.

Option 2: Cruise the San Diego Harbor shorelines. Pass Shelter Island's hotels on the Harbor side, public fishing pier and boat ramp on the port side, and San Diego's North Island Naval Base on the starboard side. The Naval base is one of the largest repair facililites for fighter jets and the home to aircraft, navy ships and carriers. At the north end of Shelter Island, the Bali Hai Restaurant has one of the best views on the water. It is a great place to enjoy a Mai Tai, but be careful, they're strong! Once in America's Cup Harbor, you will view restaurants, marinas, yachts, shipyards, houseboats, and charter fishing boats.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What should I wear?
Typical San Diego weather is nice, so dress accordingly. It is always a good idea to bring a sweatshirt or jacket just in case you need it. You are cruising in the comfort of a classic Duffy Electric Boat that is completely enclosed, so on San Diego's rare cooler days you'll still be cozy and warm. The boat also has heaters. Please wear tennis shoes or deck shoes, but no dark leather-soled shoes (they leave black marks on the boat.)

How many people can we bring?
This cruise is limited to 6 passengers.

What about boat motion or rough water?
There is little sensation of movement on the Duffy Boat with it's maximum speed of 5 knots, which should not cause any discomfort.

What about bad weather?
The electric boat is completely enclosed with nearly invisible windows, and is quite comfortable in cooler weather. However, the cruise may be rescheduled if the weather becomes too stormy or uncomfortable.

Are there life jackets on board?
Yes, the Duffy Electric boat has Coast Guard certified life jackets on board.

What about restrooms?
There are public restrooms at Shelter Island Marina which is your boarding location, as well as places to stop in San Diego Harbor.
