Frequently Asked Questions

Is the latest model Segway available?
The entire fleet is brand new and 100% comprised of the latest Segway models, which have the latest technology for a much easier and more enjoyable ride than earlier models.

How safe is it to ride a Segway?
The experienced, and certified staff assures that you are fully trained and will make you feel comfortable and knowledgeable before your ride. They take you through a riding and safety video, then teach you to ride the Segways before you depart. You don’t ride until you are completely comfortable! During the glide you will have constant communication with your guide through headphones.

Who can ride a Segway?
Riders must be 14 years or older, and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian. Each rider must be a minimum of 48” tall and must weigh between 100 lbs and 260 lbs. Persons with balance issues, those who are pregnant, or anyone under the influence of alcohol may not participate.

How fast do Segways go?
Depending on the area, terrain and conditions, Segways can travel between 10-12 miles per hour.

What do I need to bring?
Be sure to bring a current, government issued form of identification, along with at least one major credit card. A charge will be placed against your credit card, in conjunction with the damage waiver release you will be required to sign, should any damage be sustained to the Segway you are riding. It is recommended that you wear comfortable flat closed toe shoes and layers of clothing appropriate for the day’s expected weather. Each Segway is equipped with a tour bag large enough for a small purse, wallet, camera, water bottle, keys and personal effects. It is also recommended that you wear sunglasses and sunscreen.

Do I have to wear a helmet?
Yes, one will be provided to you free of charge.

Will there be stops along the way for photos?
Yes, group stops will be scheduled along the way for photo opportunities.

Gratuities?
It is wholly at the discretion of the guest whether to give the tour guide a gratuity.

Cancellation Policy

There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change policy

If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.
